Interested in Becoming an Automotive Student?
General requirements for admission to Tidewater Community College include but are not limited to:
- high school diploma or the equivalent or 18 years of age and able to benefit from a program of instruction.
- special provisions for high school students are in place and require completion of the 10th grade, parental/guardian signature and an ‘exception to general admission’ form signed by the high/home school principal. Contact Holly Estrada, 822-5116, for more information.
In addition to the college's general admission requirements, students interested in a degree program are required to complete the Student Assessment Program (placement) tests in reading, composition, and mathematics. Students in the automotive curriculum should possess a valid driver's license and a driving record free of serious violations.
