TCC’s Culinary Arts Program can prepare you for success in the field of food service.  Earn an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts in 2 years or less.

  • TCC professional chefs instruct using a hands-on approach which treats cooking as a profession as well as an enjoyable activity.
  • You will be encouraged to broaden your understanding of cooking and develop skills necessary to enter and succeed in the culinary arts field.
  • Today, in the multi-billion-dollar culinary industry, owners and managers turn to professionally trained individuals with a well-rounded education to become the chefs of the future. Promotions are often rapid and salaries are often high for capable, energetic workers.
  • Cooking instruction in a variety of American regional and international cuisines.
  • Classes in basic safety for all restaurant workers.
  • Learn entrepreneurship, including the principles of catering.
  • Search the Class Schedules listing for HRI (Hotel-Restaurant Institutional Management) classes currently offered at the Norfolk Campus.
