CANstruction is a design/build competition organized to raise food that is
then contributed to food banks. In the year 2000, 45 cities participated
in CANstruction. Hampton Roads has participated since 1996 and the TCC
Engineering Club has competed in this event since 1997. The competition
is sponsored by the Society of Design Administration, the American Institute
of Architects, and the Joint engineering societies of
Hampton Roads.
