A 12' carpet tube was used in the center of the lighthouse to be sure
that the lighthouse was vertical |

Cardboard was used between each layer of cans (with a hole that fit
around the carpet tube) |

Rubber bands were used to bind the outer circle of cans together on
each layer |

A "practice build" was held on Saturday, November 7, in order to verify
the design, cut cardboard, determine how to generate the proper striping
on the lighthouse, test the light and lens assembly, etc. |
