Lighthouse Pictures

Here are some photos taken during
the competition at the Virginia Marine Science Museum.
The lighthouse was modeled after
the Hatteras Light House with diagonal striping and an octagonal base.
It also featured a rotating
beacon (which looked great through bottled water that acted as a "Fresnel
lens."
It also featured a foghorn which
consisted of a boat horn powered by a 12V air compressor.
The fog horn was so loud that
the museum personnel called us in a few days and asked us to disconnect
it!
