1999 Cable Car Competition
On Thursday, February 25, 1999, the TCC Engineering
Club hosted a Cable Car Competition. The goal of the contest was
to build a cable car that could propel itself along a 20' cable, bump into
a board at the end, at return 20' to the finish line in the least amount
of time. The cable car had to be built using a 12,000 rpm 3-12V DC
motor and a 9V battery, which were supplied in a kit purchased from the
club.
