2000 Water Tower Competition
On Thursday, February 24, 2000, the TCC Engineering Club
hosted a Water Tower Competition. The goal of the contest was to
build a supporting structure for a large vat of water using 1/4" x 1/4"
balsa wood. The vat was pumped full of water until the tower was
crushed. The winner's tower supported over 400 pounds!
