We won! On June 21, 1999,
TCC Engineering students competed against other two-year engineering programs
in a national design competition sponsored by the American Society for
Engineering Education (ASEE). The competition was held in Charlotte,
NC at the Charlotte Convention Center as a part of ASEE's Annual Convention.
The goal of the competition was to build a battery-powered car that could
follow a 3/4" strip of black electrical tape three times around an 8' x
12' plywood track with the ends of the track sloping downward. TCC's
entry finished with a winning time of 2 minutes, 34 seconds.
