Health Professions: Medical Assistant Program
Medical Assistant Program Goals
- To provide the community with multi skilled health care practitioners
that are prepared at a national standard.
- To provide a multi skilled health care practitioner who is
competent in the urgent care, physician's office, hospital,
and long-term
care environment.
- To provide the students with a career that is easily articulated
with other established health care careers, i.e., nursing, paramedic,
respiratory therapy, and medical technology.
- To prepare graduates to take the national exam for Certified
Medical Assistant (CMA).

by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
(www.caahep.org),
upon the recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB).
