Health Professions: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program is designed for those who wish to enter employment as physical therapist assistants working under the supervision of a physical therapist. 

Enjoy a fulfilling career by providing care to individuals of all ages.  Teach a patient to walk again following a surgery. Assist a child with adaptive equipment in school.  Help a worker return to his/her job following an injury.   

Work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, outpatient clinics, sports medicine clinics, private practice, fitness and wellness centers, and school systems.

Transfer Students

As of July, 1 2012, technical classes from other PT/PTA programs will no longer be accepted for transfer credit.  Transfer credit will be accepted for general education classes only.
