Planetarium Show

"Stars of the Pharaohs"

Travel to ancient Egypt to see how science was used to tell time, make a workable calendar, and align huge buildings. You’ll learn about the connection the ancient Egyptians felt with the stars and various astronomical phenomena, and experience some of the most spectacular temples and tombs of the ancient world recreated in all of their original splendor. Telly Award winner. Narrated by John Rhys-Davies

The 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm showing is a planetarium show. There will not be a laser light show at these times.

8:30 pm

Rock Music Laser Light Show

This production is a laser light show, accompanied by music from Led Zeppelin. There will not be a planetarium show at the 8:30 pm showing.

The TCC Business Club will be sponsoring a food drive in connection with these planetarium shows. Although not required, we encourage each person to bring a non-perishable food item or a gently used book.

Virginia Beach Campus Science Building

The TCC Planetarium has a state of the art Digistar 5 Laser Projector housed in a 40 foot dome with 81 permanent seats. It produces an all-sky image.

Parking:

Park in the parking lot closest to the ATC. The science building is to your left as you face the ATC. Go through the sliding doors. Campus map

RESERVATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:

To make reservations call the TCC Information Center at 822-1122 or email info@tcc.edu. The TCC Information Center will begin to take reservations on Monday, March 25. Your reservation is not guaranteed unless you arrive at least 15 minutes before show time to pick up your actual tickets at the planetarium. There will only be a limited number of tickets available at the planetarium on the day of the show.

TCC Info Center Hours:

Monday - Thursday 9:00 am to 6:30 pm

Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

NOTES:

Groups can only reserve a maximum of 20 tickets.
Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not allowed in the planetarium.
No one will be admitted late, and if you leave during a show you can not be readmitted.
The theater is accessible to wheelchairs.
Must be at least 4 years old. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
