This show includes Maori (New Zealand) myths and stories about the formation of the Earth, the Moon and Maori New Year.  Also includes stories about “Matariki”, which is known in our culture as the Seven Sisters or the Pleiades.

Rock Music Laser Light Show:  Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon

This production is a laser light show, accompanied by music from Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album.



Place:  Tidewater Community College Planetarium

             Virginia Beach Campus Science Building

The TCC Planetarium has a state of the art Digistar 5 Laser Projector housed in a 40 foot dome with 80 permanent seats. It produces an all-sky image.



Park in the parking lot closest to the ATC. The science building is to your left as you face the ATC. Go through the sliding doors.               Campus map

There will be a very limited number of tickets available at the door on the day of the show.  You must arrive at least 15 minutes early to guarantee your reservations.




  • Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not allowed in the planetarium.
  • No one will be admitted late, and if you leave during a show you can not be readmitted.
  • The theater is accessible to wheelchairs.
  • Must be at least 4 years old. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
