If you’re seeking a focus for your college education, Tidewater Community College’s Associate of Science in General Studies might be just what you’re looking for.

This four-semester program fulfills freshman and sophomore general education requirements at most Virginia public colleges and universities. If you complete the degree and meet the GPA required for admission, you will likely be admitted as a junior.

You can complete a 2-year associate degree for less than the cost of 1 year at a 4-year college or university.

TCC's Associate of Science consists of 4 semesters of full-time study, with classes held on all campuses.

If your schedule full-time attendance, you may also take classes part time.

2-year transfer grants

First-time college students who meet GPA and other requirements may qualify for a 2-year transfer grant to apply toward tuition. Grants of $1,000 may be awarded for your junior and senior years. See transfer grant details
