Step 3 – Determine College Readiness

If you are a high school graduate, complete the following questionnaire before attending an advising session. This questionnaire helps determine which English and math courses are you ready for. Click this Log in to complete the questionnaire.

If you earned a GED within 5 years with a score of 165 or above on the Reasoning through Language section, submit a copy of your GED Scores when you meet with an advisor.

If you earned a GED more than 5 years ago or your score was less than 165, you will take the Virginia Placement Test. Connect with our Testing Center to schedule this test at 757.822.2194 or testing@tcc.edu.

If English is your second language, please take the English as a Second Language (ESL) Placement Test.

That’s it! You’re ready to enroll in classes
