Academic Search Complete

Academic Search Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,990 full-text periodicals, including more than 5,030 peer-reviewed journals.

AccessScience

AccessScience includes the 8th edition of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, updated continuously, as well as biographies of scientists, late-breaking science and technology news, new references links to related web sites.

AIDS & Cancer Research Abstracts

This comprehensive database provides bibliographic data from the worldwide scientific literature as related to AIDS, immunology, virology and cancer genetics. Information featured in the database concentrates on both basic science research and clinical applications.Full text can be requested through interlibrary loan.

Alt Health Watch

This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers full text articles, pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research, and book excerpts.

Annual Reviews

Annual Reviews publications review 32 focused disciplines within the Biomedical, Physical, and Social Sciences.

Biological Sciences

This interdisciplinary database offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science. Supporting over two dozen areas of expertise, this CSA database provides access to literature from over 6000 serials, as well as conference proceedings, technical reports, monographs and selected books and patents. Full text can be requested through interlibrary loan.

CINAHL

CINAHL is the authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. This database provides indexing for 2,928 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health.

Consumer Health Complete

Consumer Health Complete is a comprehensive resource for consumer-oriented health content. It is designed to support patients' information needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. Consumer Health Complete provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. In addition, Consumer Health Complete includes the Clinical Reference System and the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which provides access to up-to-date, concise and clinically relevant drug monographs. The database is updated on a weekly basis.

Health Source: Consumer Edition

This database is the richest collection of consumer health information available to libraries worldwide, providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition

This database provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition also features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names.

Highwire Press
Look for full-text peer-reviewed articles from a variety of disciplines, including health sciences. Noted journals include Annals of Occupational Hygiene, International Journal for Quality in Health Care, and Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, just to name a few.

MedicLatina

MedicLatina is a unique collection of medical research and investigatory journals from renowned Latin American and Spanish publishers. This Spanish language database contains full text for nearly 120 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish.

PsycArticles
PsycARTICLES, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology.

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database covering information concerning topics in emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational & experimental methods.

PsycINFO
PsycINFO is the American Psychological Association’s renowned resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations, is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health.

MEDLINE (or PubMed)

Free and open to the public, PubMed includes MEDLINE. MEDLINE provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Full text can be requested through interlibrary loan.

Safety Science & Risk Abstracts
This database provides comprehensive, timely information across the fields of public health, safety, and industrial hygiene. Full text can be requested through interlibrary loan.

Access Spanish-language consumer health articles, pamphlets, and other resources covering common health issues.

Part of the Gale product line for students, Science in Context is an in-depth, curriculum-oriented database that provides a one-stop resource for all science-related research needs.

TOXLINE on this service offers rapid access to information in all areas of toxicology, including chemicals and pharmaceuticals, pesticides, environmental pollutants, and mutagens and teratogens. Full text can be requested through interlibrary loan.

Finding high quality, trustworthy, scholarly medical information does not have to be a daunting task. Use these resources to help you evaluate the credibility and accuracy of the information you find online and elsewhere.
