Need help developing your resume or adding sparkle to that cover letter? Wondering what the value is of a LinkedIn profile? Could you use some tips for when you finally do land that job interview?

TCC Regional Workforce Solutions Center is offering a new Career Planning & Development Series broken into five parts. Interested students can take either one class or register for all five at the reduced rate of $125. Classes are Tuesdays beginning Jan. 22 and ending Feb. 26 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the TCC Regional Workforce Solutions Center, 7000 College Drive in Suffolk.

The full series is:

*Writing Your Resume and Cover Letter to Impress: $45

*Online Applications/Electronic Resume Workshop: $25

*Using LinkedIn for Your Job Search: $25

*Finding Job Leads: $25

*Interviewing Boot Camp 101: $25

Classes will be no larger than 15 to ensure personalized attention. Heather Kitsis, a job placement coach at TCC, and Stacy Davidson, an adult career coach at the college, will teach the classes, which are open to all in the community.

Clarissa Bailey, enrolled in TCC’s A-plus program for computer networking, signed up for the initial class and is excited about receiving advice about her resume.

“I have a working resume, but I’d like some help with what to include and what not to include,” she said. “I think this is a really good program to have. It helps you whether you’re working or not working.”
