For Chesapeake high schools - juniors and seniors

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – (April 15, 2004) – Any and all juniors or seniors in Chesapeake high schools can apply their “math IQ” to the TCC Chesapeake Campus Math Contest on April 24. The free competition will “pit wit” with math challenges; no calculators allowed - brain power only.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. for the 10 a.m. to noon event, Saturday, April 24, at the Tidewater Community College Chesapeake Campus, 1428 Cedar Road, Whitehurst Building, Room 2057.

Players can enjoy free pizza, prizes and giveaways, including a grand prize of a TI-83plus Graphics Calculator.

Students can enter by e-mailing their name, school, grade, highest math-class completed, and phone/e-mail to or by phoning the information to 822-5150. For questions, contact math instructor David French, 822-5223 or
