TCC CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH, SEPT. 15-OCT. 15

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (Sept. 10, 2008) – Celebrating the region’s diversity and the Hispanic population in Hampton Roads, Tidewater Community College will commemorate National Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 15-Oct. 15 on all four of its campuses with free, public events and talks.

The 2008 National Hispanic Heritage Month theme is: Getting Involved: Our Families, Our Community, Our Nation.

TCC’s four campuses will host free activities beginning Sept.16 and running through Oct. 15, featuring Venezuelan musical group Quintribillo (to be confirmed), salsa dance lessons, fiestas and talks by professors with Hispanic heritage.
