TCC Auto Program Wins 2nd Toyota Recognition

TCC’s Automotive Technology program has garnered a second recognition from Toyota, once again naming TCC’s T-TEN (Toyota Technical Education Network) program one of only five in the country to receive the 2007 T-TEN School Recognition Award. The award recognizes the highest performing T-TEN schools across the United States.
T-TEN at TCC – a joint effort of Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc., Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors Inc., Toyota dealers and TCC – leads to an associate degree or certification in the automotive technology field.
TCC will soon have a new venue for its corporate T-TEN and other manufacturer-based programs – the 30,000-square-foot Regional Automotive Center moves closer to completion in Oakbrooke Business & Technology Center, the city of Chesapeake’s newest business park. TCC’s new center features fifteen 20-foot-high bays – with one designed for an 18-wheeler – and the latest in high-tech instructional equipment including ceiling-mounted video cameras to project hands-on demonstrations.
