Child Minding services are currently only available at the Norfolk Student Center (will be available at other campuses in conjunction with the completion of each Student Center)

Who is eligible for a Child Minding plan?
Only students currently enrolled in the associated term
Services may only be used during class hours on the campus of class attendance (visit the Children's Village @ TCC web page for further details)
Why use a Child Minding Plan versus StormDollars?
Allows a guest depositor to dedicate funds for Child Minding services
Allows a student to use financial aid funds to assist in Child Minding costs
Allows a mechanism to set aside or budget funds for Child Minding services for the term
What stipulations
apply to Child Minding Plans?
Can only be used for payments at The Children's Village@TCC location on campus
Separate plans are available for financial aid and non financial aid funds
Non-refundable plan
Term based with a specific plan available for Fall, Spring and Summer terms
Available only to students enrolled in the associated term
Available for use from the first day of classes through the last day of exams for the regular session dates of the applicable term
Deposits must be in $8 increments (each hour of service will cost $8)
Expires at the end of each term with any balance considered non-refundable
Non financial aid plan deposits may be completed via StormCardManager or a campus Business Office
Financial Aid deposits must be completed at a campus Business Office
Restricted period for applying financial aid to a child minding plan - starts approximately one week before the start of the term: See Child Minding Plan important dates
Funds will be available for use at the start of the term (see plan dates)
Plans may only be purchased in accordance with the term specific schedule
Purchases shall be limited to amount of financial aid available
Any reduction in a student's financial aid authorization that results in a debt associated with the use of a Child Minding StormCard Plan is the student's responsibility and must be paid to the college
