Advising/Counseling Services:
Counselors are available on a walk-in basis to assist you with academic and transfer planning, career development, and personal concerns which may be hindering your academic success. The Advising/Counseling Office offers the following services to help you succeed: Academic advisement - curriculum changes, course selection and sequence, transferability of courses, and review of academic records to insure graduation requirements are being met. Educational counseling- assistance in curriculum selection and transfer planning, review of articulation agreements and guaranteed admission agreements. Career counseling- administration and interpretation of career inventories, computer assisted career information and assessment, exploration of career alternatives, utilization of occupational information, and evaluation of employment prospects in a given field. Individual personal counseling for a variety of concerns such as- adjustment to college, crisis intervention (drugs, finances, pregnancy, alcohol), marriage and family concerns and mental health issues.
