Professional Development Steps to Meet the Training Standard
| 1. Meet with your academic dean to discuss your interest in teaching in the eLearning environment |
- Dean's Recommendation is required to initiate enrollment in training coursework.

| 2. Enroll in TOP (Teaching Online Program) |

| 3. Enroll in Quality Matters (QM) training |
- QM training is a 2-part course completed online over a total of 4 weeks that addresses the design and development of online courses according to quality standards.

- Part 1, APPQMR (Applying the Quality Matters Rubric), is a 2-week online course. Prerequisite: TOP course
- Part 2, PRC (Peer Reviewer Course), is also a 2-week online course. Prerequisite: TOP and APPQMR
- An optional course, IYOC (Improving Your Own Course) is also available and is a 2-week online course. Prerequisite: TOP, APPQMR, PRC, and access to your existing online course
- Cost: TCC will support one enrollment in each course. Subsequent attempts if necessary require personal funding of approximately $200 per course.
