Hisayuki Yamaie: Popular Editions was the second comprehensive exhibition to be presented by the Visual Arts Center by renowned Japanese printmaker and former TCC student, Hisayuki Yamaie. Over 80 original, unframed silkscreen prints were displayed in the Center's three galleries. Featuring sites and scenes from around the globe, including France, Italy, Germany, Japan, Turkey, Greece, Spain, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States, the prints are richly colored and show off Yamaie's unique approach to the screen-printing process. All of the work in the exhibition was for sale. Half of the proceeds benefited the Hisayuki Yamaie Scholarship Fund. |
