Amy Beldon holds a Master's of Science in Education (MS Ed) in Counseling from Old Dominion University. She also holds a Virginia license as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
Amy's professional interests are working with adults, primarily women, both individually and in group settings. She enjoys counseling women to assist them in determining and developing their interests, strengths and self view. She also enjoys career counseling.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and cooking. Amy likes watching the squirrels playing and foraging in her yard. Amy even has multiple squirrel feeders which require the squirrels to "work" at getting the food available in them. Her favorite pastime is spending time with my family, especially her new grandchildren.
The Women's Center is a resource to assist women in many ways: to achieve an education, economic independence, a fresh view of self, and sometimes, just to have fun. The Women's Center supports, encourages, promotes and strengthens women.
To me equality means recognizing each person's fundamental worth and a belief that each is as important as another.
