Network for Empowering Women Students (N.E.W.S.)
Presents
Instant Career Coaching
------------------------------------------

What should I expect from
Instant Career Coaching?
Students will have the opportunity to speak to
professional women in one-on-one discussions, as
well as in a group setting, about potential
career paths and preparation for the workplace.
They will have the chance to have their questions
answered and receive advice from professionals.
Student participants will also be entered into
a free drawing for a Nook, the Barnes & Noble e-reader.
Why “Instant”?
Traditional mentoring, or the pairing of an experienced
professional and someone with less experience,
typically involves a specific career match and a
lasting time-commitment.
Instant Career Coaching is ideal for a student who
could benefit from meeting an experienced
professional in an informal setting, but who
may not have the time to build a
long-term mentoring partnership.
N.E.W.S. strives to pair students with
career coaches in the career field the
student is pursuing. Not sure about your
career goal? Instant Career Coaching can also
expose student who is interested in pursuing a
career field but may need more information.
Please note: ICC is not a job interview,
job fair, or employment networking.
There is no intention for mentors and participants
to continue their relationship beyond this one event.
