Tidewater Community College, in partnership with the Virginia Community College System and the Virginia Department of Health, is offering a support service to pregnant women, expectant fathers, and parenting students.
Our goal is to strengthen the academic achievement and success of actively enrolled pregnant and parenting students.
OPPSS provides pregnant and parenting students:
- Referrals to academic services and programs
- Referrals and resources for health services
- Referrals to social services and community resources
- Resources for counseling and/or support services for domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking
- Campus based workshops and activities such as parenting skills education, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking awareness & prevention
