Technical Studies

Translate your professional background into academic credit

This program rewards you for technical skills and professional experience already mastered with up to 23 of the 60 credits required for the degree! Upon entry into this flexible program, you will enroll in a course co-taught by TCC and Old Dominion University faculty to determine how much academic credit you will be awarded for those skills. If you need additional coursework to reach the 23 credits, an academic dean will help you fill the gap with college classes that align with your professional goals.

TCC’s textbook-free options mean you could save as much as $2,500 on the cost of your education.

Because these courses use electronic materials rather than printed textbooks, you will need regular and reliable Internet access in order to complete course work.
