1043 Fiber Basics
This course provides students with a practical understanding
of fiber optic communication systems and the latest techniques
needed to design, install, test and maintain both multimode
and singlemode networks. Topics covered include fiber optic
design, installation, testing and maintenance for multimode
and singlemode networks. This class will benefit those will
little or no fiber experience and is an excellent refresher
for experienced fiber professionals.

For Navy and Coast Guard Students: There is a cap of $16.67 per hour, not to exceed $4,000.00 per fiscal year for the Navy and $4,500 per fiscal year for Coast Guard students. There is also a cap of 240 clock hours or 24 CEUs per fiscal year.
Note: The original TA form shall be brought to TCC before the first day of class. Upon completion of the course, the student shall give the Navy/Coast Guard a copy of their Certificate of Completion.
