TCC Governance: Curriculum Committee

Purpose

To review and recommend for approval new academic programs and academic programs to be discontinued; to consider and recommend approval of changes to existing academic programs; to review and recommend approval of new courses and changes in course numbers, titles, descriptions, credit hours, and prerequisites; and to review and recommend policies and procedures related to degree requirements for all college programs, certificates, diplomas and degrees. Reports through the Vice President for Student Learning.

The Charge 2012-2013

  • Review the draft Curriculum Handbook, making recommendations for changes.  Target date for completion is January with an absolute deadline of the end of the year.
  • Review the ‘defining fields’ for the Official Course Outlines on the i-INCURR site.  Make recommendation for which field(s) should require Curriculum Committee approval before being edited.
  • Curriculum Committee ‘business as usual’.
