Norfolk Campus Faculty Senate
The Norfolk Faculty Senate will announce in the fall (first part of November) to all the Norfolk Faculty
A call for nominatins will take place in the spring (early February) with a nomination due date of March 30th
The completed nomination package will be sent to the Norfolk Faculty Senate Chair by March 30th
Nomination package must include:
- A personal essay from the student explaining why they are a good candidate for this award. At a minimum, the essay should outline their academic and career goals, the student’s service to the college and college community.
- Two nomination letters from faculty. One letter should include which department or discipline is nominating this student.
- An unofficial copy of the students transcript
The Norfolk Faculty Senate Chair will form a subcommittee that will meet by April 15th to determine the scholar and notify all finalists
Lunch for scholars will be held before the end of the spring semester
The Moss Scholars will be recognized at the above and Beyond Award Ceremony
