Welcome

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit Tidewater Community College. We are excited about helping you meet your educational goals.

From our modest beginnings in 1968, TCC has blossomed into Hampton Roads' largest provider of higher education and Workforce Solutions services. We have campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach, a regional Visual Arts Center in Olde Towne Portsmouth, the TCC Jeanne and George Roper Performing Arts Center in downtown Norfolk, a regional Advanced Technology Center on the Virginia Beach Campus and the Regional Automotive Center in Chesapeake. Our annual enrollment of nearly 46,000 students is the second largest undergraduate student body in the Commonwealth.

The college's motto is simple and direct: "From here, go anywhere." And it is true. TCC provides open-access higher education and training to people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them to achieve both their individual goals and contribute as citizens and workers to the vitality of our region and an increasingly global community.

TCC students come from all walks of life, with nearly half preparing for the world of work through career and technical programs, choosing from a wide range of certificates or degrees. At the same time, TCC prepares students in transfer degree programs to succeed at four-year institutions.

The college offers more than 150 programs, including business administration, culinary arts, fine arts, general studies, health professions, modeling and simulation, network security, multimedia design and automotive technology.

Whatever your dreams, whatever your goals, TCC is here to help make them happen.

Sincerely,

Edna Baehre-Kolovani, Ph.D.
