47th annual faculty exhibition to open at TCC’s Visual Arts Center
Tidewater Community College will hold its 47th Annual TCC Art Faculty Exhibition from Nov. 19 until Jan. 5 at its Visual Arts Center (VAC).
The opening reception will be Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. A sale of student work will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. in an adjoining space.
Events are free and open to the public.
Thirty art faculty members will display recent drawings, paintings, pottery, glass, photographs, computer-generated imagery and mixed media in a variety of subjects and styles.
Participating full-time faculty include Ed Francis, Rob Hawkes, Ryan Muldowney, Craig Nilsen and Tom Siegmund. All former VAC directors, including Anne S. Iott, Ed Gibbs and Christina Rupsch, will take part, as well as Corinne Lilyard-Mitchell, interim director of the VAC.
The VAC is located at 340 High St., in Olde Towne Portsmouth. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily; galleries will be closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
