Virginia Beach Public School Hosts, AVID Tutor Information Session and Hiring Event

Wanted: College Tutors to Support the AVID College and Career Readiness System!

Interested candidates can join the virtual event to learn detailed information on becoming an AVID Tutor with the Virginia Beach Public Schools. This Event – Open to All!
Dr. Linda Love, Instructional Specialist, AVID/Section 504 and her Team will be available to discuss the program in addition to answering in questions you may have about the program and the application process. The deadline to apply for the AVID Tutor positions are September 13, 2021!

Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is now hiring Part-Time AVID Tutors who will be working in person with AVID students at all middle and high schools. AVID is a research-proven, college and career readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and persist in colleges and universities. The hourly rate for this part-time position is $17.63.

College students who have successfully completed 30 college credits or more with a GPA of 2.8 or higher and other qualified alumni and staff are eligible to apply.
