Power remains out at the Portsmouth campus and the campus remains closed for the rest of today. However, students are able to access virtual services for assistance with applications, advising and enrollment. Updates on re-opening will be made when the information becomes available.

The Portsmouth Campus will remain closed until noon on Wednesday, August 5, due to a continuing power outage. All other campuses are open for regular business.
Students should consult their course syllabi or their instructors for information about how this campus closing affects classes and assignments.

Due to the impending inclement weather from Tropical Storm Isaias, Tidewater Community College will close at 5 p.m. today Monday August 3rd and remain closed until 8 a.m. Wednesday August 5th.

The college’s administration determines whether and when the college will be closed or delayed.
The closing of TCC does not necessarily mean classes are canceled. Faculty members include guidelines on their syllabi regarding alternate arrangements in the event of an unscheduled closing or late opening.
