All students using education benefits must submit previous training (including military training and previous colleges attended) for review and posting of applicable credit towards your degree plan.
This should be done in your first semester at TCC.
Academic Advisors can review an unofficial transcript to ensure you are not taking courses here that you have already completed and will (or may) transfer in.
All veterans will receive two credits of health and physical education credits from their military service/basic training. We cannot certify two credits of health/PE for veteran students. Please ask us if you have specific questions about this before enrolling in those courses.
You understand the Dept. of Veterans Affairs will only pay for remedial classes where there is a demonstrated need as indicated by taking the Virginia Placement Test. Remedial classes are NAS 2, MDEs, EDEs, MUS 8, & CHM 1. ALL remedial courses must be taken in person, in the classroom.
Students enrolled in NAS 2 must take the Challenge Exam (contact TCC Testing Centers) There is no charge for this test; it must be on file prior to the start of the NAS 2 course.
You understand that you are responsible for and will be billed for any classes that are not required for your program/major.
