Explore a night through time at TCC’s planetarium
“Time Space: The Infinite Adventure,” the planetarium’s newest show, explores the past, present and future. The adventure starts at the beginning of time, travels with dinosaurs, fast-forwards to Mayan astronomers, continues to astronauts walking on the moon – and then jumps well into the future, concluding with the year 3001.
TCC’s planetarium is in the Science Building (Building J) on TCC’s Virginia Beach Campus. Three showings will be presented at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Reservations can be made online starting Jan. 19. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and children under 4 are not admitted.
Each one-hour presentation includes a brief laser light show and review of the night sky.
The planetarium has a state-of-the-art Digistar 5 Laser projector housed in a 40-foot dome with 81 permanent seats. It produces an all-sky image.
Parking is available in the lot closest to the Advanced Technology Center, which is next to the Science Building.
