TCC is a top 10 digital community college in the U.S.
Tidewater Community College was recognized as one of 10 top digital community colleges in a national survey by The Center for Digital Education (CDE).
TCC tied for 10th in the large college category, consisting of community colleges with enrollments of 10,000 or more.
The top-10 ranked colleges were honored April 10 in Chicago, concurrent with the American Association of Community College’s annual conference. Two other Virginia community colleges, Reynolds and Thomas Nelson, were also recognized in the large college category.
Now in its 11th year, the survey analyzes how community colleges use a range of technologies to improve services to students, faculty, staff and the community at large.
Award winners demonstrated innovative uses of technology, including online courses and mobile environments, mobile apps, secure platforms and wireless networks.
All accredited U.S. community colleges are eligible to participate in the survey within three classifications based on size of enrollment.
