Students should focus on their future, not their finances.
You believe affordable education should be available for everyone, and you know the value of keeping skilled talent in our area. As affordable as TCC is, some students still struggle with tuition, the cost of school supplies, along with essentials such as rent, utilities, and even how to get to school some days. By giving to the TCC Fund, you say, “I get it, and I want to help.”
Day of Giving is a one-day, 24-hour event to build support throughout the Tidewater Community College community. Our theme for 2025 is – What’s Your Why?
Help make TCC’s Day of Giving campaign a success as a #TCCProud ambassador! While our Day of Giving officially kicks off at 12:01 a.m. on May 13, you can begin supporting our fundraising efforts today.
Here are a few ways to support Tidewater Community College during our Day of Giving:
Sign up for your TCC Proud profile and stay connected with TCC and your fellow alumni.
Reshare Day of Giving posts from our social channels and include why YOU are supporting this event. We are counting down until the May 13 Day of Giving on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X! Every share to your personal and professional communities gets us one step closer to our goal.
Don’t forget to donate during our 24-hour Day of Giving campaign on May 13!
Thanks for your support of the students and staff at TCC!
Your gift to the TCC fund will make an impact in the lives of our students:

Melody Romines, a General Studies student at TCC’s Portsmouth campus, recently benefited from financial assistance that made a significant difference in her life. With quick support from TCC, she received extra diapers, used the food bank, and secured the CCAMPIS childcare scholarship, allowing her kids to attend daycare on campus while she attends classes. “Last year, I was struggling to cover expenses, but TCC’s programs and welcoming environment have been a game-changer,” Romines said. “I’m grateful for the resources and the people who are willing to help—you just have to ask.”
