Hispanic Heritage Month Poetry Reading and Salsa Dance Celebration

When: Thursday October 15th, 12:00 pm - 01:00 pm Where: Zoom Description: In a Zoom event, Maria Nieves, Dr. Gabriela Christie Toletti & the TCC Jazz Ensemble present a celebration of Hispanic culture with a poetry reading (in English and Spanish), a tour of Latin American art, and a demonstration of salsa dance with music provided by TCC’s own Jazz Ensemble. This popular Latin dance appeals to all ethnicities, nationalities, ages, and dance levels. This event is part of TCC's Arts & Humanities Pathway series "My Voice. My Thoughts. My Art." A curated collection of music, visual arts, literary, and theatrical programming, each event will explore themes of diversity, adversity, inequality, social justice, and empowerment during this time of social change.
