Othello Auditions

Tidewater Community College and the Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission are thrilled to bring the timeless tragedy Othello to life as part of the 28th Annual Shakespeare in the Grove!
This summer, join us under the stars for an unforgettable evening of drama, passion, and powerful performances directed by Trey Clarkson.
Open auditions will be held on Saturday, April 12, from 9 AM - 12 PM in the Blackbox Theatre on the Chesapeake Campus.Feel free to arrive at any time during the audition window.
Callbacks (if needed) will be held on Saturday, April 19, from 9 AM - 12 PM.
All roles are open to all genders and ethnicities.
Please prepare a 1-2 minute Shakespeare monologue. If you sing or play an instrument, please prepare up to 16 bars (a cappella).
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, May 12, from 7 PM - 10 PM, Mondays through Thursdays.
Performance dates: June 25-29 at 8 PM
