Request Transfer Evaluation

This form should be used if you have previously attended another college/ university and wish to transfer your credits to Tidewater Community College, or if you need to submit test scores for evaluation. Please note that all official transcripts must be sent directly from a national and/or regionally accredited institution/military/college board, through a secure platform such as Parchment, Clearinghouse, etc. Official transcripts should be sent directly to the Office of the College Registrar at registrar@tcc.edu or via mail.

Please Note:
If you are sending official transcripts by mail, please note that it may take an extended time for the Office of the College Registrar to receive them. We strongly encourage all students to send their official transcripts electronically. Once the Office of the College Registrar receives the official transcript, the student will be notified in their SIS Student Message Center. All students should contact the issuing institution to request that official transcripts be sent electronically.

Student who have earned academic credit through previous coursework or professional experience in a specific field may be eligible for Credit for Prior Learning. Individuals with professional credentials are also encouraged to apply. For more information, please contact TCC Academic Advising at advising@tcc.edu.

Prerequisite Waiver requests: If you need a prerequisite override to enroll in a course, complete the Prerequisite Waiver form: https://forms.tcc.edu/request-a-pre-requisite-waiver/

Evaluation Results: If your official transcripts and request for Transfer evaluation have been received, your transfer evaluation will be completed in approximately 6-8 weeks. Once the transfer evaluation has been completed, the student will be notified in their SIS Student Message Center.

You must be currently enrolled at TCC AND be in a curricular program in order to have a complete evaluation of credits.
