Prepare for the workplace at TCC career conference

Tidewater Community College Women’s Center Advisory Council will host the inaugural Blackboard 2 Boardroom Career and Professional Development Conference on Nov. 5.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is from 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Campus Student Center.

A keynote panel of professional women will share details about their career journeys and provide insight for those entering the workforce or retraining for new careers.

The day will also include concurrent interactive workshops covering career direction, intergenerational communication, positive office politics and how to have a professional social media presence.

The seminar will feature a professional etiquette luncheon.

Blackboard 2 Boardroom is designed for students nearing graduation, alumni and community members.

Reservations are requested by Oct. 31.
