TCC considered a best value for its online degree in entrepreneurship

Tidewater Community College is ranked nationally as the 10th best college offering best value online degrees in entrepreneurship.

Best College Reviews, an editorially independent online college review journal, ranked TCC 10th in its Top 15 schools for its Associate of Applied Science in Management with a Specialization in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship.

“We developed this degree because our students were asking for a practical degree to help them launch, run and prosper in small business,” said Kelly Gillerlain, interim dean of the Division of Business, Information Technology and Public Services at the college’s Chesapeake Campus. “We’re thrilled to be recognized so soon after launching the program.”

The associate program, which began this fall, covers theoretical and practical details related to the expertise needed to start, expand or manage a small business. Accounting, marketing and financial management are among the areas of study. Flexible online courses, as well as day and evening classes, are available.

Areas evaluated include tuition, content customization, format customization and the “wow factor.”

TCC was the only college ranked in the state of Virginia.

To compile this ranking, Best College Reviews editors scoured the web to identify available online associate degree in entrepreneurship programs. They then applied the rating and ranking methodology with the factors above to analyze the best value programs.
