TCC offers new collision repair and refinishing courses

Tidewater Community College’s Regional Automotive Center is offering new collision repair courses for the fall semester.

The courses are – “Introduction to Collision Repair Technology” (AUB 193), which begins Aug. 22, and “Automotive Painting” (AUB 119), which begins Oct. 17. They will be held in the First Team Collision Center, 3400 Western Branch Blvd., Chesapeake.

The initial collision courses provide students with the first step in training necessary to become collision repair technician helpers. “These classes meet a growing need, as identified by our advisory committee,” Beno Rubin, director of the Regional Automotive Center, said.

Financial aid is available for eligible students.
